Why The GORB?
- Because you want to give someone you know anonymous feedback. This feedback will encourage their good behavior and allow them to understand where they need to improve.
- Because you want to understand what your community thinks of you without the reciprocity. You invite them to give you anonymous feedback. ( WOW! Do you dare?)
- Because you know a wonderful person and you want the world to know about him/her, with out expecting anything in return, so you do it anonymously. You tell the world how your boss has done so many wonderful things for you and how much you admire him/her.
- Because a person close to you does not listen, so you tell him/her what he/she should hear, anonymously. You ask 20 people that know him/her to agree or disagree with your opinion and every time an opinion is made the target gets notified. Imagine the power of listening to comments coming from 20 people!
- Because you want to send a GORBNote (private note) to somebody anonymously, just as a little sticky you put on their monitor, with no return address.
- Because it will help us all be more human. we all have faults that never show up on our CV's, and it's okay to have them. We need to go back to when we were more human and less paper-perfect.
What is The GORB?
The GORB is an index that reflects the ratings that people provide about others' conduct from a personal and a professional perspective. All the ratings are aggregated, weighted, and processed using GORB Math (a patent-pending algorithm). The GORB uses a scale that ranges from 1 (lowest) to 10 (highest).
What is GORB Math?
This is a sophisticated mathematical algorithm that detects and eliminates ratings that have a high likelihood of being biased. It also uses an innovative rater scoring scheme to provide people with incentives to rate truthfully, as well as to recognize frequent and thoughtful raters.
Why should I use The GORB?
In today's global environment we interact with different people every single day. The GORB will allow you to add instant credibility to your professional and personal references. Also it will help you gain more information regarding those people you may deal with on an daily basis. Think abut it. If 30 people say a person is reliable and honest they are probably right. What are your alternatives?
How do I search for a user?
You can search someone by typing his or her email address. If the person doesn't have a Personal or Professional GORB you can be the first to provide a rating.
How do I rate somebody?
You can rate somebody by typing his or her email address and clicking on the rate button. We encourage you to be completely honest when you rate. If your rating is rejected by the community then your reputation will suffer.
What criteria should I use to rate a user?
You can rate somebody by either his or her personal conduct and job performance or both. You will assign a numerical value from 1 to 10. Here is a suggested rating guideline:
- 1.00 - 4.99 Poor (unacceptable, inadequate)
- 5.00 - 7.99 Good (just acceptable, meet requirements)
- 8.00 - 10 Excellent (exceptional, perfect)
When you rate, you also have the option to:
- Tag
- For each dimension, personal or professional, select up to three words that best describe the person.
- Comment
- Provide a free-form comment.
GORB Scores and tags are always publicly displayed, while it is up to the discretion of the ratee whether comments are shared with the public.
Will my vote remain anonymous?
All ratings and comments will remain anonymous. We believe that anonymity will produce a higher degree of truth and honesty. There is no perfect system. A non-anonymous system also contains "noise," as reciprocity creates a fake positive response.
Why should I register?
You can rate and search without being registered. However, if you want to promote your GORB or use some other functionalities of the site (e.g., track other peoples' GORB, define your profile, send one-on-one private communications) you must be register. The registration process is simple and free.

- If none of the above works, it is possible that you mispelled your email when you registered. Please, try registering again here.
Can I choose not to be rated?
No, as in the real world, you do not opt-in or opt-out of your reputation. Anybody can enter your email address and get your page started. But don't be afraid, the truth is that all of us will have some negative information (like on your credit bureau) and so what? What are we supposed to be perfect or something? Let's listen to the truth about us. Let's learn and grow with this information.
I believe I am being unfairly rated; what can I do?
Just like in real life some of us have people who do not have our best interest at heart. The GORB gives you the information so that you can be aware of what other are doing to your reputation. These people are doing this whether The GORB is around or not. We recommend you counter these bad ratings with your allies, friends and people who you consider to have a good perception of what you do. Ask them to GORB you. The GORB allows for the community to reject an opinion, just like in real life your friends should come to your defense.
When will the final version of The GORB be released?
We are currently working hard on improving our features. The system is still being tested and developed. We have a long road of features we want to add. We will wait for feedback from our early adopters to decide which features we need to prioritize or which ones we need to add to our development road map. We welcome your input!
How much does The GORB cost?
The GORB's services are free for all users.
What are notifications?
Every time that you receive a rating you will be notified via email. You can modify the frequency once you are registered in the notification section of your profile. To use this feature you must register.
How can I promote My GORB?
You have different ways to promote your GORB. You can invite friends, colleagues and family to rate you. You can also include your personal link in your website, blog or email your GORB with a seal that is linked to your GORB.
Can I rate a person more than once?
Just like in real life we change our opinion about people. You can post new ratings about others; however, if you constantly shift your opinion, post too many ratings your credibility will be affected and therefore you will become an unreliable rater. Imagine if when you spoke about an individual to others you were constantly changing what you thought about them. Your friends would view you as unreliable, and your recommendations would lose value in their eyes.
How do you define my Community GORB?
This is the GORB of all the people that have rated you either personally or professionally.
How can I use the GORB Notes?
As a feedback system, you can write a private note to somebody that is in the GORB community. The idea is to help somebody be a better person or professional. These notes are anonymous and can only be read by the person you are writing them to. Maybe you want to share something very personal with somebody.
Does The GORB share my information?
We will not sell or share your information, such as your email address or your anonymous ratings, with any third party.
Can I delete my email address from the system?
You cannot delete your email address from the system. On The GORB, anyone can rate anybody. You don't need to be a GORB member to be rated. Just like in real life your reputation exists all around you.
